Services

Painting, papering & repairs

Three services, each done properly from preparation to the final coat. Choose one to jump to it, or ask for a quote that covers all three.

Painting

Interior & exterior painting

A good paint job is mostly preparation. Walls are filled and sanded, woodwork is keyed and primed, and everything you don't want painted is protected, so the finish coats go on smooth with straight, sharp edges where the walls meet the ceiling.

What's included

  • Walls, ceilings and coving
  • Skirting, doors, frames and banisters
  • Exterior walls, fascias and woodwork
  • Two finish coats as standard

Ideal for

  • Freshening up a whole house
  • Getting a rental ready between tenants
  • A bold new colour in one room

Wallpaper

Wallpaper hanging & feature walls

Old paper stripped and the walls made good, then each drop is hung plumb with the pattern matched across every seam. Bold prints, delicate florals or plain lining paper ready for paint: the edges are trimmed tight to ceilings, skirtings and sockets.

What's included

  • Stripping old paper and preparing walls
  • Lining paper for a smooth base
  • Pattern matching across every seam
  • Clean trimming around fittings

Ideal for

  • A statement feature wall
  • Bedrooms, hallways and chimney breasts
  • Covering tired or uneven walls

Crack repair

Crack & plaster repair

Cracks are raked out, not just painted over. Each one is filled in stages, taped or reinforced where movement is likely, sanded flush and primed, so the repair blends into the wall instead of showing through the new paint a few months later.

What's included

  • Hairline, settlement and ceiling cracks
  • Small areas of damaged plaster made good
  • Sanding and priming ready for decoration
  • Painted to match, or as part of a full redecoration

Ideal for

  • New builds that have settled
  • Older homes before redecorating
  • Ceilings with spreading cracks

Common questions

How much will my job cost?

Every room is different, so Larry prices each job after seeing it. You get a clear written quote before any work starts, with no hidden extras.

Do I need to buy the paint or wallpaper?

Either works. Larry can supply quality trade paint, or use the paint or paper you have chosen. Just say which when you ask for a quote.

Do I need to empty the room?

Small items and breakables are best moved. Larger furniture can be moved to the middle of the room and covered, and floors are protected throughout.

Will a repaired crack come back?

Opening the crack up and filling it properly makes it far less likely. If a crack is caused by ongoing structural movement, Larry will tell you honestly so you can get it checked first.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes. Offices, shops and rental properties as well as homes. Just mention it in your enquiry.
